Savvas Grill Restaurant in Peyia offers a memorable dining experience with authentic, homemade Mediterranean and Greek dishes. Located conveniently close to the village center, it’s a favorite spot for both locals and visitors. The restaurant prides itself on using locally sourced fresh ingredients, adding unique flavors to every plate.
We visited the place early, so it wasn’t very crowded. We ordered two cocktails and tried the chicken kebab and beef stifado. The portions were good, and the food was tasty. However, the cocktails could use a bit of improvement in presentation as they looked very simple. Overall, it’s a good restaurant worth trying, but some menu items are overpriced, as noted by other reviewers. It’s convenient that they have a parking area in front and offer live music every Friday.
Pros
good location
live event every Friday
easy parking
tasty food
Cons
higher price level than most taverns in Peiya
some reviewers mentioned overcooked meats (ours were ok)
Suggestions for Improvement
Air-conditioned area or more fans to help cool down the restaurant temperature
Improved presentation of cocktails
Complimentary small dessert or drink before payment, as many taverns do
Very nice, authentic, and good food. Waiter was a bit inattentive and neither ask if I want another drink or if the food tasted good. But overall nice and especially tasty.
Used to love this restaurant but they are MAJORLY under staffed. Last 3 times hasn’t been a pleasant experience. You’re actually losing money by not employing enough staff. We would have drank double amount of drinks but trying to get service to the table was impossible. Food wasn’t great. Staff absolutely rushed off their feet. Long long wait for the food. This will be our last visit to savvas.
Delicious and traditional! The best moussaka we have ever eaten in our lives, and we visited half of Greece 😁 Various appetizers, rolls, pita and tzatyka miodzio. It's a pity I can't give 6 stars 😉
Delicious, home-style, no frills, classic Cypriot food. Authentic Cypriot tavern in Peyia. They have been working for a long time, there are always people.
Lovely friendly restaurant and the food is excellent. We went on a Friday evening when they had live music which was really good, enjoyed it so much that we went back again the evening before we went home.
Food is really delicious here! Fish and meat were cooked very well on grill and with plenty of spices. My Scottish boyfriend loved it (if you know what I mean). Highly recommend this place!
